About the Founder
About Me
My name is Helena, and I have worked with all sorts of animals for 10+ years of my life so far, from the veterinary environment to charity settings.
After finishing school in 2012, I studied my Animal Management Level 3 in college, specialising in exotics originally, then went on to work in a veterinary environment as a Receptionist which lead into being a Patient Care Assistant (Nursing Assistant), completing many different qualifications whilst working. I volunteered in rescue centres alongside work and after many years in veterinary, I decided to branch out and take the chance in being self employed alongside this, as I was so interested in dog behaviour and psychology. I started out by doing some dog walking, which I still do now, however I now am studying my canine behaviour course as well. I continue to help out and raise money for animal charities such as The Born Free Foundation and RSPCA to this day.
My love of animals began from taking many family trips abroad to Kenya. Seeing wildlife in the wild made me realise that ever since being very young- all I ever want to do is spend time with animals. Alongside this I love reading, writing, playing guitar, attending comic cons, going to the cinema, spend quality time with my pets and family, photography, gaming, clay shooting, trail cycling, supporting local & am always doing progressive studies on canine behaviour & psychology! Looking after the environment is a huge passion of mine, and I love to make my own eco cleaning products and support beauty products that are natural and cruelty free.
I am fully self employed now and I am so grateful for all my loyal and lovely clients for coming back to me time and time again to make this happen. I am also part of NARPS (National Association of Pet Sitters and Dog Walkers) So you can find my profile on there too.

My dog walking & pop in prices are now based on travel distance and needs of pet, please message me with your address and details of your pets needs for a solid quote. I have supplied the minimum and maximum below to help you make a more informed decision!

● £17.00 per one-to-one training walk (Or £60.00 for a block of 4- upfront payment for blocks)
● £11.00-£15.00 per Drop In (Drop ins are 30 minutes and can be to feed your cat, guinea pig, lizard or any other small animal!) This is dependant on distance away and animal breed. For Guisborough, two half hour cat drop ins a day is in a deal for £14.00 a day!
● £37.00 per day for horse care. This includes feeding, grooming, mucking out and turning out / bringing in (and snuggles!). If you have more than 1 horse, it would be additional £15.00 per horse.

I am available for call outs all days of the week including weekends 7am-7pm (Only if I am available- will move things around for emergencies only if possible!)
● Pet Sitting Services are between £30.00-£40.00 per night depending on where you are based and the amount of care your pet needs as well as the time of year.
PLEASE NOTE: I pride myself on one-to-one love, which means I do one-to-one walks. I never walk dogs from different households together unless requested by both owners or if they are dogs in the same household. Some people want me to walk their dog with other friendly dogs or my own dogs, if that is the case I will happily do so but only up to three at a time with permission from the other owner(s) also for a ‘socialisation walk’. Please note that all clients will need to carefully read, fill in and sign a form to return to me before our first session.
I will always come visit your dog and yourself for a chat before walking any dog or looking after any animal.
What are training walks?
I am studying to be a qualified and professional dog trainer so I am providing clients with the ability to book in with me for discounted prices to integrate training into each walk:
Do you have a dog that is scared of certain things (like cars) that needs both training and walking when you are out at work? Or a dog that pulls or portrays unwanted behaviours?
I will walk that dog for you and train at the same time, emailing you at the end of the session with what it entailed and what to work on giving any resources and information to you that you may find helpful.
Please note, in order for training to work- you need to be practicing the same commands and techniques as well on your walks!
If you book a block of four training walks together, I will provide you with an insightful training plan via email of our journey and for half a session price (£8.50), take both you and your dog on a walk on the fifth and final visit to teach you how to implement the skills I have been teaching your dog.
How it starts:
I can come over to your house for an hour (this bits free!), sit down and chat with you about what you and your dog need help with on your walks and learn a bit about your dog. If I think it is something I can help with and have seen the questionable behaviour and seen your dog in and out of the house / with different people- I will go away and put a training plan together to begin the training walks.
I will also send you a form to fill in and sign before the first training walk.
(Please note- I do not deal with reactivity in large stronger breeds at the moment due to inexperience in this particular field but I can recommend dog trainers that do! I will never begin training a dog that I am unsure how to handle or if I think it may need a much more qualified and experienced dog trainer. Honesty is key.)

Murphy
‘I cannot recommend Helena enough. Murphy absolutely adored her. She was so kind whilst looking after him. Her professionalism shone through, nothing was ever too much trouble. If I had an unexpected issue and had to work short notice, she would always help me out by having Murphy. You can truly tell she loves what she does. Murphy also gets on very well with Helena’s small dog, and they became best friends. I would still be using her today if I had not had to move away. Highly recommend.’

‘Helena looked after my boy for two weeks as we went on holidays. She is such a caring and kind person! Despite the fact I found and booked her the last minute, she went many extra miles to help me with my dog sitting! My dog looked so happy with Helena and her dogs! She helped my dog with his anxiety and she also cooked special meals for him as he was a bit nervous when we went on holidays! I would highly recommend Helena and will been using her in the future as she is now a part of our family! Thank you Helena for everything!’

‘ Helena is an enthusiastic, hardworking and kind individual who constantly endeavours to provide the utmost care for both pets and owners alike. She was a valuable team player and significantly contributed to maintaining a conducive working environment, which was greatly appreciated especially during the past few years when the veterinary profession has been under much pressure due to the recent pandemic and workforce crisis.’

‘Helena has been walking and training our Laszlo and she’s been fantastic. He was always excited to see her at the door, and always fast asleep 10 minutes after he came back. We will miss her as she moves up North, but I’d strongly recommend her to anybody needing a fantastic and trustworthy pet friend.’

‘We highly recommend Helena, who took excellent care of our two cats while we were away. Helena's communication is great, and we always felt we could reach out to her if we had any questions. Helena followed our instructions diligently and sent daily updates with photos/ videos. Knowing that our cats were in capable hands gave us peace of mind throughout our trip. Thank you very much, Helena’

Thunder
‘I could not recommend this lovely lady highly enough. I was super stressed about having to leave my puddy cat. Normally he has only ever been looked after by family but after a recent house move this was no longer an option. It was obvious from the start that Helena takes her job seriously and has a genuine affinity with the animals. "Thunder Cat" can be a little aloof and we had recently lost his companion cat so I was extremely anxious about leaving him. However he took to Helena immediately, she spent time each day grooming, fussing and playing with him. I got regular updates and pictures. All instructions were followed exactly and she even bought him a licky matt and some toys. I am a qualified vet nurse and an extremely crazzzzzy cat lady, trust me when I say you won't find a better pet sitter. Thunder Cat loved Helena’

Finn
‘Helena was lovely. She arrived early and ensured Finn had his full hour walk. I was sent photos and a video of his time with Helena which were great to see - Finn had a great time at the beach and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helena. We will certainly be booking again! Thank you for taking care of him! :)’

‘We were lucky enough to find Helena when she was setting up her business in Guisborough and she has walked Reggie dog every week since then for us. Reggie absolutely loves her, she sends lovely photos of their walkies and her communication with us is excellent. She’s reliable and punctual and always works around us as clients. We really value and appreciate her love and care for Reggie, always putting his needs first, for example considering his needs with the recent hot weather. Thanks for everything Helena’

Katie & Evie
‘I was so lucky to find Helena to care for my two rescue dogs for two weeks whilst on holiday. Very helpful in every way and I felt less stressed as soon as I met her. Katie and Evie both have their own quirks of nature which can be difficult but Helena knows exactly how to treat them.
Both dogs have found a new friend. I totally recommend Helena to care for your pets.’

‘Helena met my puppy before he could even go out she would visit and play and let him gain her trust even before the walks. Then the walks started and he was scared and nervous and took a little persuading. Helena was patient and advised and now we have a brave excited little dog that loves his walks his digging and meeting others dogs (unless they bark). Thank you for being along for the puppy journey’
