About the Founder
About Me
My name is Helena, and I have worked with all sorts of animals for 10+ years of my life so far, from the veterinary environment to charity settings.
After school, I studied my Animal Management Level 3 in college, specialising in exotics originally, then went on to work in a veterinary environment as a Receptionist which lead into being a Patient Care Assistant (Nursing Assistant), completing many different qualifications whilst working. I volunteered in rescue centres alongside work and after many years in veterinary, I decided to branch out and take the chance in being self employed alongside this, as I was so interested in dog behaviour and psychology. I started out pet sitting and dog walking, which I still do now, however I now am studying to be a dog trainer as well. I continue to help out and raise money for animal charities such as The Born Free Foundation and RSPCA to this day.
My love of animals began from taking many family trips abroad to Kenya. Seeing wildlife in the wild made me realise that ever since being very young- all I ever want to do is spend time with animals. Alongside this I love reading, attending comic cons, going to the cinema, spend quality time with my pets and family, taking photos on my camera, gaming, clay shooting, trail cycling, supporting local & am always doing progressive studies on canine behaviour & psychology! Looking after the environment is a huge passion of mine, and I love to make my own eco cleaning products and support beauty products that are natural and cruelty free. I also work part time at home as a payroll and HR assistant for a hospitality company - so I have a rather varying set of hobbies and like to keep busy!
Dog Training, Pet Care & Dog Walking Prices
Training
(I am still studying to be a qualified dog trainer so Prices are reduced for the time being until certified!)
£20.00 for one hour of 1-2-1 training in your home/area (I do not take human aggressive cases or extreme reactivity in dogs at the moment until I have more experience.)
£50.00 up front for a block of three separate 1-2-1 classes in your home
£15.00 per hour one-to-one puppy / young dog training:
This involves a sit down in your home to discuss and show you the most important parts of puppy training with training materials, a walk in a nearby populated area (if your puppy is vaccinated) to discuss how to socialise, lead train, and introduce off-the-lead walks- all designed completely for your dogs breed and temperament using positive reinforcement only- because every puppy is different and starting young is crucial.
Pet Sitting
Pet Sitting: £25.00-£40.00 per night (animal breed depending) Please note, I only do up to three night stays away from home now (dates depending) and your pet must be able to be left for 4 hours at a time due to my dog walking schedule.
Dog Walking / Drop In’s
My dog walking prices are now based on travel distance and needs of pet.
£13.50-£17.00 per one-to-one walk for 1 hour
£10.00-£15.00 per Drop In (Drop ins are 30 minutes and can be to feed your cat, guinea pig, lizard or any other small animal!) This is dependant on distance away and animal breed.
£25.00 per day for horse care. This includes feeding, grooming, mucking out and turning out / bringing in (and snuggles!). If you have more than 1 horse, it would be additional £15.00 per horse.
PLEASE NOTE: I pride myself on one-to-one love, which means I do one-to-one walks. I never walk dogs from different households together unless specifically requested by both owners or if they are dogs in the same household. Some people want me to walk their dog with other friendly dogs or my own dogs, if that is the case I will happily do so but only up to two at a time with permission from the other owner also. All clients will need to read, fill in and sign a form before I look after any animal.

Murphy
‘I cannot recommend Helena enough. Murphy absolutely adored her. She was so kind whilst looking after him. Her professionalism shone through, nothing was ever too much trouble. If I had an unexpected issue and had to work short notice, she would always help me out by having Murphy. You can truly tell she loves what she does. Murphy also gets on very well with Helena’s small dog, and they became best friends. I would still be using her today if I had not had to move away. Highly recommend.’

‘Helena looked after my boy for two weeks as we went on holidays. She is such a caring and kind person! Despite the fact I found and booked her the last minute, she went many extra miles to help me with my dog sitting! My dog looked so happy with Helena and her dogs! She helped my dog with his anxiety and she also cooked special meals for him as he was a bit nervous when we went on holidays! I would highly recommend Helena and will been using her in the future as she is now a part of our family! Thank you Helena for everything!’

‘ Helena is an enthusiastic, hardworking and kind individual who constantly endeavours to provide the utmost care for both pets and owners alike. She was a valuable team player and significantly contributed to maintaining a conducive working environment, which was greatly appreciated especially during the past few years when the veterinary profession has been under much pressure due to the recent pandemic and workforce crisis.’

‘Helena has been walking and training our Laszlo and she’s been fantastic. He was always excited to see her at the door, and always fast asleep 10 minutes after he came back. We will miss her as she moves up North, but I’d strongly recommend her to anybody needing a fantastic and trustworthy pet friend.’

‘We highly recommend Helena, who took excellent care of our two cats while we were away. Helena's communication is great, and we always felt we could reach out to her if we had any questions. Helena followed our instructions diligently and sent daily updates with photos/ videos. Knowing that our cats were in capable hands gave us peace of mind throughout our trip. Thank you very much, Helena’

Thunder
‘I could not recommend this lovely lady highly enough. I was super stressed about having to leave my puddy cat. Normally he has only ever been looked after by family but after a recent house move this was no longer an option. It was obvious from the start that Helena takes her job seriously and has a genuine affinity with the animals. "Thunder Cat" can be a little aloof and we had recently lost his companion cat so I was extremely anxious about leaving him. However he took to Helena immediately, she spent time each day grooming, fussing and playing with him. I got regular updates and pictures. All instructions were followed exactly and she even bought him a licky matt and some toys. I am a qualified vet nurse and an extremely crazzzzzy cat lady, trust me when I say you won't find a better pet sitter. Thunder Cat loved Helena’

Finn
‘Helena was lovely. She arrived early and ensured Finn had his full hour walk. I was sent photos and a video of his time with Helena which were great to see - Finn had a great time at the beach and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Helena. We will certainly be booking again! Thank you for taking care of him! :)’
